The power amplifier, preamplifier and control windings are separated within the power transformer to prevent mutual noise interference.

Exclusive leading electrolytic capacitors

The main capacitor, which determines the sound quality of the amplifier, was developed in collaboration with ELNA. The Pioneer logo on the cover indicates that it is an exclusive pure audio capacitor.

Direct job

The A-40AE features the Direct function, which bypasses other circuits except for the volume to deliver a pure listening experience suitable for music content. The function is not just a simple switch, but is finely tuned to enhance the music.

Standing wave insulators

The anti-standing wave isolator is specially designed with no parallel sides inside to prevent resonance cavity. This makes sound localization, tone and volume clearer, while also contributing to smooth communication between channels and improved fast audio response.
